Catering in Alexandria: Hagan and Vanessa!

Saturday’s wedding reception was at the Athenaeum in Alexandria VA http://nvfaa.org.  It is a delightful historic building in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, used during the day as an art gallery, and in the evening it can be rented out for a wedding reception.  Hagan and Vanessa are enjoying their buffet dinner Grilled Indonesian Chicken and Peanut Sauce, Bow Tie Pasta with Fresh Dill/Sun Dried Tomato/Feta Cheese, Ruth’s House Salad, Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes, and Fresh Fruit. 
We served appetizer on the back patio. On the griddle above are Ruth’s zucchini pancakes with melted brie.  As one guest remarked, “I now know what to do with all that zucchini in my garden!”  A pancake that includes grated zucchini, flour and egg, butter and Parmesan cheese, these are positively addictive.  Who knew zucchini could pack such a punch?  Well, I guess you should read my previous blog post about vegetables!!
