Great Room at St. Francis Hall, Washington DC

Catering By Teatime recently catered a fabulous wedding reception at the spectacular St. Francis Hall in Washington DC. www.stfrancishall.com With soaring ceilings, polished wood floors and twinkling lights the venue is one of DC’s hidden gems for a wedding reception and one of our very favorite properties.  Located on the grounds of the Franciscan Monastary, the venue even provides parking for guests – a very unusual perk for a DC venue.

Signature Drink Sign

The bride chose a creative Signature Drink:  Cucumber and Basil Martini.  Our bartender Ruth P muddled fresh cucumber and basil, added a pinch of freshly grated ginger root, squeeze of fresh lime, vodka,  simple syrup and a splash of club soda.  It was the hit of the night at the bar!

Through the Looking Glass at St. Francis Hall, Washington DC

Late October is a favorite time of year for Washington DC and Northern Virginia couples to marry.  The weather is typically mild, the colors are at peak color, and we still have light late into the day and early evening.    Saturday’s event was able to take advantage of the natural light spilling through windows and still capture the magic of the room’s ambiance at nightfall.

And the wedding cake!
