This past weekend Catering By Teatime was fortunate to once again cater at the Blenheim House, one of Fairfax County’s Historic Rental Properties in Fairfax City, VA. www.weddingsinfairfax.com
Many long time Northern Virginia residents are unaware of this venue tucked away in the heart of Fairfax City. In it’s rental brochure the property is described:

Historic Blenheim is a unique and picturesque location
for wedding receptions, outdoor ceremonies, bridal
showers, anniversary parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate
dinners, lectures, rehearsal dinners, business meetings,
retreats, and a variety of outdoor tented events.
The Civil War Interpretive Center, designed by
architects Glavé & Holmes, is an award-winning
facility completed in 2008. Designed in a modernistic
rural style, the Interpretive Center features a stunning
glass-roofed Atrium Lobby, 900-square-foot Assembly
Room with historic pine flooring, and glass walls
throughout offering extensive vistas of the Civil-War-
era house and lush grounds. A Pergola Terrace and
covered Veranda Porch offer options for outdoor café
seating, and the grounds adjacent to the Interpretive
Center provide plentiful space for large outdoor tented
functions. The 12-acre site includes meandering

walking paths and interpretive signage.

The newly built Visitor Center provides a lovely and intimate space for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, business meetings.  The capacity for this room is 80 guests seated.  Our guest count was just under 70 guests.

Welcome New Bartender Ranae!

Guests were greeted by bartenders Anita and Ranae with options of wine, beer, soft drinks or iced tea.  Passed and Stationary Appetizers included Quesadilla Wedges with Salsa; Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers; Fresh Vegetable Basket with Hollowed Cabbage Filled With Dip; Baked Artichoke, Spinach and Parmesan Dip.

The buffet menu featured Ruth’s House Salad of Mixed Greens, Tomato, Scallion, Pecans, Dried Cranberry and Gorgonzola Cheese.  The catered menu also featured our famous Grilled Garlic Lime Chicken on Bamboo Skewers; Bow Tie Pasta Salad with Fresh Dill-Feta Cheese-Sun Dried Tomato and Snow Peas; Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes;  Fresh Fruit Arrangement:
