This past Saturday Catering By Teatime www.cateringbyteatime.com
was delighted to have the opportunity to cater a wedding reception in a Northern Virginia backyard.  A the sun set, a multitude of lights lit among the massive trees provided a magical canopy for the guests.
It was hard to believe we were just minutes from Washington DC.

Miniature Chicken and Waffle Appetizer

Guests enjoyed a table display of Fresh Vegetables with Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus as well as a display of Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers.  Staff offered passed appetizers of Roasted Gazpacho Shooters and Miniature Chicken and Waffles – rapidly becoming a Catering By Teatime specialty.
Mother Nature came through this time.  While it was a warm June afternoon/evening, the precipitation kept it’s cool.

Anita welcomes the guests to Teatime’s Heavy Appetizer Buffet that features a Fresh Fruit Arrangement with Seasonal Fruits; Assorted Bruschetta; Tropical Mango Salsa with Tortilla Chips; Sweet and Sour Meatballs; California Sushi Rolls; Grilled Garlic Lime Chicken on Bamboo Skewers and Marinated Roast Pepper Beef with Cabernet Chipotle Sauce.

 Perhaps the secret bombshell of the night was the “Late Night Snack”.  After hours of noshing, drinking, more noshing, cake and dessert – could anyone REALLY eat another bite?!  Well, if it’s warm-crunchy-salty-cheesy-mini and right in front of you…ABSOLUTELY.  At the end of the evening as the sun goes down, we served Grilled Cheese Sandwich Bites.  I detect a new Catering trend.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we served Ruth’s Famous Brownie Wedding Cake that includes Cream Cheese Brownies; Blondies; Chocolate Almond Coconut to name a few.  It’s a fun way to enjoy dessert and tradition at the same time.
