Catering By Teatime helped celebrate a St. Patrick’s Day wedding reception this past March 17th with a guest count of 250 enjoying multiple stations of heavy appetizers.

At the “dessert and sweet stuff table” was one of Anita’s masterpieces.  She is a a marvel at creating our Fresh Fruit Display for all our catered wedding receptions:

The star of the menu was the unassuming Bread Pudding with Warm Caramel Sauce.  In all the history of Teatime Delicacies, Inc. aka Catering By Teatime has there been a menu item so delicious that there were staff wars at the end of the night over remaining leftovers!

Inside Oxon Hill Manor there are multiple rooms large and smaller for intimate settings and displays.  In warmer weather there is a spectacular terrace that overlooks the Potomac River with views of Northern Virginia and Washington DC, along with National Harbor.

One of my favorite discoveries at this wedding reception was the table we set up in the library for the kids.  One table with crayons for coloring.  And then there is this:

Now that’s the table I want to sit at:  The Lego Table!!!!
Seriously though, if you follow our blog posts on a regular basis, you know there is a beautiful wedding cake about to appear.  The bride’s colors were green and gold, befitting the holiday.  Ruth’s creation:

Review by Mother of the Bride on weddingwire.com:

Ruth,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help in pulling off our daughter’s wedding!
You
were invaluable in working out all the details with a first-time mother
of the bride–more wedding planner/counselor than mere caterer!
Your
advice, in every respect, was spot on. You were right about how to lay
out the seating and tables for a cocktail style reception. You were a
miracle worker at making a small budget s-t-r-e-t-c-h far enough to feed
250. You were willing and able to meet the demands of a very particular
venue. And you, and your niece, created an absolutely magnificent
pastel green cake that exceeded in every way our expectation of a “wink,
not a lear” to St. Patrick’s Day.
The guests raved about the
food! I can’t even count the number of people who said it was the best
bread pudding they ever tasted in their lives!
And your staff was
amazing! They were the perfect combination of hard-working and
friendly–on a first name basis with my five-year-old nephew by the time
the party was over!
You can’t go wrong with Ruth and Teatime–such a pleasure to work with!
Thank you for everything–you’re the best!
Debbie
Doesn’t get much better than that!  Life. Is. Good.
